Effective Friday April 4th, 2014 – The Section 184 Native American Mortgage home loan program will resume issuing case numbers for refinances on fee simple land. This means that the Section 184 program will again be offering all refinance types that were previously available. However, it is important to note that all refinance transactions, including streamline refinance transactions, will need to pay a 1.5 percent loan guarantee fee in order to be eligible for a Section 184 loan guarantee.
